Is my Cayman stereo fiber optic?
#2
It does not appear to be, based purely on the braided wiring.....fibre optic does not take well to that treatment.

I can check based off of your VIN number, PM me if you need help. If you have BOSE or sound package, I believe the sound is sent to the amp in standard wires, then the sound is sent out of the amp in standard wires. Usually the optic cables are a separate plug with two orange wires, but looks like you might not have that with your setup.
Your car will still have a fiber optic network though, the plug is located by your brake master cylinder. If you add a CD changer, XM, or navigation, you use that connection.

Fiber Optic Connections on 2014 Bpxster?
I have a 2014 Boxster S with a non nav CDR-31 radio head that I would like to upgrade to an Android head. Does my car have a fiber optic system that complicates that modification?
