Yes! Pricing, at least for the US, is online in the configurator. Yes it's list. I got my order in a couple of weeks ago and got a July build slot, for delivery in August. Cars are supposed to hit showrooms in June but probably will be few and far between for a while.

Congrats.. Yes in Canada we have also the online builder/pricing. Curious if dealers were selling at list only.. I would assume..

Figured.. If my wife places an order.. We would be looking for end of summer.. Then would need to go to winter storage till March-Apr..

I think a December order for Apr delivery..

So Troy.. What is your build ?..

Thx

When I ordered my 981 here in Sweden I managed to negotiate a price marginally under the price list. Looks like they can accept that on pre-ordered cars.

The deviations from list price reported by US people here on 991's appears to be similar. So the conclusion is: No huge opportunities to negotiate great prices. Think about it... these are cars in huge demand. Why should they let them go at a discount?

I did only a few options:

- Plat silver metallic
- Black interior
- 20" Carrera Classics
- PASM
- Sport Chrono
- Model delete

Can't wait!

I ordered one about a month ago. I was able to get a June allocation but ended up with a July 10 completion date because I wanted the Sport Exhaust.

I think there are allocations still available right now. The official launch date in the US is June 30. The dealers expect to get cars to demo shortly before that. I have a feeling that once people see and drive the cars the allocations will be snapped up and waits will increase. If you seriously want one, I would put your order in now.

I ordered one with PSE with a June 27 completion date, at least that's what I'm told.

Thanks man... That would look nice. I debated between the Cayman and Boxster. Settled on the Boxster S... I'm too impatient. I'm sure I'll eventually get the Cayman though. Since the Riviera Spyder I have had a TTRS and Golf R... Wen't more and more practical and now I really miss my Porsche's. Nothing like them!

Nice spec.

I opted for the 844 Multifunction steering wheel. It is much better than using a stalk to control the display on the right display. For a car with PDK, the sport wheel gets you the paddle shifters. Without the PDK, I think the Multifunction wheel is more functional. I used the Multifunction wheel on a Panamera loaner and I was sold.

Multifunction is more functional, but sport design wheel is WAAAY better looking.

The $ difference is not great between those two - except that PTS will be many times more desirable in the end & better for resale. Just give it some thought. You still have time to change your order. By the way, your old Riviera Spyder has had three additional owners besides you - and currently resides in Pennsylvania! That might be a record for a MY2012 Porsche!

If you decide to stick with what you have ordered, consider the possibility of adding some 'black' inside to tone-down the lovely 'Carrera Red'. I did it with deviating carpet in 'black' and alcantara door panels & seat inlays. My two cents, for what it's worth!

I agree. But in the new cars the functionality is more significant because it controls the display to the right of the tach.
