Default Price check Boxter S

Hi Guys, a local dealer has a red 2009 Boxster S with 9K miles - warranty still applies - 6 speed and is asking $49800. It's a one owner car & just serviced. The original owner traded on something she preferred.

I offered 45K but no go. Sound like a deal or should I keep looking.

CPO or not?

So you offered $45 and they let you walk? Keep looking. Maybe check back in after a few weeks, and see if they become more motivated. Not many cabs selling right now. Maybe they are holding out for spring.

A mod should move this to the 987 Forum.

CPO is nice and worth a couple/few grand. You have "walking power". In a negotiation, I always like to know a price that is also NOT acceptable. Just as important to the price that IS acceptable. Patience, grasshopper.

Run a search on AutoTrader, and see what you get.

I've shopping for a boxster and have been doing a lot of price research.

Given the age and also I suspect the new IMS-less engine, there is a BIG jump up in price between the 2008s and the 2009s. You can get a 2008 S for the low 30s, but a 2009 S is going to cost a lot more.

Yep as you should be expected to pay a premium for an engine not to grenade itself!!

Did you see this ad? 2 years newer. Same $$. Just not an "S".
