Here is a couple of links I found that custom fits the cover for the Spyder.

Help down by Velcro and elastic straps? I don't get it. By the time you get that strapped on you could have put the original Spyder roof on. It took me less than 90 seconds the other day in a buddy's Spyder to get the top up - no back window. Just sayin'...

Exactly what I was thinking. What's the point???

This type of cover is far more useful.
They made one for 986, but not 987. I've been waiting for something like that , guess Porsche is not coming out with one. Plus noone knows if the 986 units fits the 987.

If they made something like that for the Spyder I would buy it in a heartbeat

Tim I don't believe a tonneau was ever developed for the Spyder. If you're primarily interested in protecting the cockpit when you're parking the car in a public area for short periods you can very easily use the canopy top without the rear piece. It takes 1.5 minutes to install and does a great job of keeping the weather and people out of the cockpit. The rear section is only necessary if it's raining and the car is stationary or if you're parked in a very dusty area.
Good luck with the purchase and post some pics when you get it.

Afshin.....thx for the reply.......it seems pretty easy and quick to do and I imagine (being in Southern calif.) this is how I will use the top when needed......
