Default New Boxster S turning some unreal magazine number

anyone notice the times being put down by C&D and R&T magazines with the new PDK Boxster S?
C&D is getting 4.3 0-60
R&T shows 4.1 0-60 with 12.6 in the quarter at around 110!
Holy crap these cars have gotten fast. Until recently, weren't they more like low-to-mid 5 second 0-60 cars?
The new numbers seem to encroach right on Carrera S numbers... uh-oh

Isnt this great! I have a 911 now (two previous Boxster S's) and when I saw the numbers, I thought it's time for another Boxster S. The 911 is nice, but the Boxsters were a hoot!

I find these numbers hard to believe. Anyone got the 5mph to 60mph time? 5mph to 60mph should be pretty hard to mess up numbers.

Car and Driver's test sheet shows 5-60 at 4.9s.

Road and Track's data sheet doesn't list 5-60, but here's the full comparison and results.

I think the times were using the launch control feature of the pdk tranny too...not something I would want to try very often for durability...still very impressive times, none the less.
