Thanks Porsche for another pointless "special edition"

Isn't it always? They are bleeding profits left and right. Maybe a slow down in our economy will lower their prices, but I doubt it given the weak dollar.
Oh well, gotta pay to play.

It is a good looking car. I like the silver/red thing - but there is still the question - why? It's almost like all of the "special" edition Mustangs available - only it is, of course, a Porsche...

I agree it may be just another special Edition but with 303hp it will be one quick Boxster. Porsche of Lexington is getting one, I just finished sending out an email to the GM there as he asked my opinion of which of the two colors combo's I told him I liked the Silver/Carrera Red/Red

I think the true trend setter here is Mazda. Think of how many Special Edition Miatas rolled off the line. What the hell though, if it makes for a few more nicely spec'd Boxsters... no harm.

I sure hope the red looks better in person

I love it for the looks... don't give butkus about the "special edition" history theme. That GT silver/red combo is sweet. I'm considering landing one for the spring driving season unless and until I can land a 911 turb at an acceptable discount.
I've only driven Boxsters at P-car school in Birmingham on the autocross track and each time I was thrilled with the driving feel and glorious sound.
We will see.
