I just installed a set of GT3 Seats into my Cayman S.

That means I've got a pair of brand new (5 month, 7.5k miles) Sport Seats looking for a new home. They are in new condition and have the Porsche crest embossed in to the leather headrest. If you're interested, I've placed a classified ad here on Rennlist.

My question is....where did you get the GT3 seats, how much did they cost, what additional hardware did you need to mount them? And oh, how hard was it telling the computer the airbag in the seat isn't there anymore?

Ok, so that's more than one question.

I did little write up over on the Cayman club website. You can read it here:
GT3 Seat Installation Article

I got the seats from Suncoast Porsche in Sarasota. The seats and mounting rails were $2,600. The sub-bars were another $120+. Installation was billed at just a few hours.

I love the seats! I'll give them their first real workout at Sebring this weekend.

Side note: do you know about any solo group drivers who can't make the event? I'm on the wait list, and it'd be good to know for sure I can actually drive before I make the trek from Miami.

Sorry no idea about the Chin waitlist. I'm sort of in the same boat. We're confirmed for Sunday only. I'm trying to get Dorothy off the wait list so she can drive both days.
