Default Access to rear top shelve storage

Hi,

I have a B/S 2006 with Bose and a rear windblock. Normally, with no rear windblock one would have an extra space for storage behind the seats - on top of the engine. The space is still there but I cannot access it. Is there a way around this?

thanks

Not so much that I've found.

What would one store up there anyway?

You can only use the parcel space when the top is up. You do not need to put the windstop when the top is up. So remove the windstop and put it in it's cover. Personally, I'm too lazy.

if anything you store falls into the back or side areas and you run the top, theres a good chance you will not be having a good day. one random pop bottle = 1000 in damage

For point of interest, the non-Bose models have a storage space in place of the Bose speakers. For 05-6 there was a cargo-net and pouch and now there's a storage box. I used to have an 05 and the storage area was useful for storing...nothing. I'd agree with those who recommend not placing items between the windstop and top-liner in the up position.

Thanks guys. I will leave this space alone. I was not aware that the winblock could be pulled out. I'm 6 foot tall and the car fits nicely. But if we are two in the car then it is difficult to place say a jacket anywhere without have to pop one of the hoods. My buddy has the CAyman and he does have better storage for such things. But then again he is stuck in his bubble. I have the Bose option = no storage box.

thanks again
PS: please have a look at my question on sticky roller button on the multifunction wheel - in general posting I think - thanks.
