Default stock radio

well i got the stock radio with sound package plus
would have preferred the bose but the car they had on the lot
didnt have it
anyway i thought the midrange sounded excessively bright
the bass is okay
the treble is decent enough
the the midrange is very harsh and makes my ears bleed!

so ive been experimenting to try and get the sound to be less tiring
what seems to work best is placing a piece of felt over the midrange
i would like to do the inside the speaker grill
does anyone know how to get offf the midrange speaker grill
does it just pop off
or do i have to take off the door panel
thanks
