An independent Porsche shop put it in but I can’t blame them for the whole problem. The supplier sent the wrong part. I also think it was the first 987 in their shop for a short shifter. Honest mistake and they refunded the install price without drama.

Default 997 424 983 00 or die :-)

Whatever you do go with 997 424 983 00 !!! In my opinion spend the extra bread and don’t skimp on the 986 part. The right short shifter is so choice

Nice to hear that there are honest shops out there.

Not being overly **** retentave, but wouldn't you think that someone should have checked the part they ordered versus the part they received? Suppliers botch things up with regularity. Granted, this was a very honest mistake and I bet these guys ARE checking every part before they put it on now.

Have fun w/ the new shifter!
