Default New Tartan inserts for GT2/3 Seats in my Cayman R

Hi Rennlist:

I just posted this in the 993 forum where I know a few people. I sold my 993, and I had put Tartan seats and interior bits in that fun car. My buddy has it now and he is still flying that US Navy Tartan flag proudly.

I wanted the same for my 987.2 Cayman R. I worked with Kim at P1 Design and they made a replacement set of inserts for my carbon fiber GT2/3 seats.

She was great and did an amazing job in just about 3 weeks. That includes getting the strange Bruce of Kinnaird pattern tartan from Scotland.

I am digging its slightly offbeat character. Here are photos of how it was sent to me and how it looks.

I am sharing this info because I was happy with the experience and that is all.

Take care,
Michael

Too each his own. I have nearly the same car and I don't like the inserts. They make my teeth hurt! LOL, I hope you enjoy it.

Nice job. Unfortunately for me, the McMillan clan tartans are a bit dreary.

I'm digging it, too!

As we know, pepita, corduroy, Pasha, tartan, and plaid may all be making a comeback via Porsche's Heritage Design Strategy:

Hi ToasterThief, our seat inserts start at $1,195, which includes our houndstooth fabric (several colors to choose from). Upgrades to pasha, Sport-Tex, Pepita and tartans are available as well. Please visit our website for our selection of fabrics. If you have something in mind that you don’t see on our website, please email me details and I will be happy to search for you. Thanks, Kim

Wow, very unique. I like it! I just went with the Pascha pattern from P1 on my slate grey GT3, it really changes the previous sedate vibe of the interior.

Nelson, you can’t get us salivating with the P word and then not provide pics!

Pascha in Boxster.

I did this a few years ago, since then I put in GT2 seats with the black Porsche cloth script. When they were in there people either loved or hated them. Now they're in the garage.
