Did I screw up by not buying a 2010 base for $20k?
A local guy had a 40k mile Boxster with PDK - no indication of being driver hard, no accidents, solid silver and black base Boxster. I test drove and it drove great. Having had a similar C4S and that 3rd seat - mine's all the way back, I hesitated to pull the trigger but now find myself wishing I had. Maybe in the fall I'll have another chance ?

I've not really marketed the car that hard because I don't need to sell it, but at this point it is mostly sitting in my garage collecting dust until I take it out every 10 days or so just to get the fluids going. It's a fun car, and perhaps the most fun you can have in the Porsche world for the price.

Plenty more will be out there, they're not rare. I do think the 987.2 are getting to be really nicely priced though. Colleague at work picked up a 40-50k mile example for low 20's recently and loves it.

There's something to that. My car goes from 0 to impounded in less than 7 seconds.
Top down is more fun for starters -becoming a better driver at less than life and death speeds is also fun.
I'm 5,100 miles away from the nearest autobahn.

Well then, if you are serious you would be happier in a Miata. LOL!

Of course we all like power; mine has every bolt on possible but that isn't what makes these cars so amazing.

Yes. Also the non DFI engines sound better and it revs faster. If power and 0-60 times are what you want then get the 444hp Tesla S for like 40K and win all the stop light races you want.

"it revs faster" Really? How do figure it revs faster when it is slower zero to sixty. You may be proud of your car and you should be but stop with the bull****.
