First open road run. A few back roads where it jiggled. It’s exactly like my R was. Light hands are best. It will be an absolute blast on a focused run.

Nice pictures John! The original Spyder and the 89 Speedster are two other “dream cars” of mine but I’ve heard the Speedster doesn’t handle like the two Spyders.

Did you run with the top on or off?

Thanks. Top up on the way to brunch and top off on the way home. A polo shirt was a bit light for mid Winter top down but I survived.

Top down will set it apart from the Cayman R, top up I suspect will be similar to the R.

Covercraft cover has arrived. I know it's meant to be used top down. I just wanted to see what was what. It's light weight and says not to be used in rain but I have some marine waterproofing spray I will use on it. It can be used on Summer road trips where I don't feel the need to put the proper top on.

New rear mudguards. USD 38.50 each. Plus some new brake parts. All designed to freshen up the car.

Which Covercraft cover did you get? It looks like they have a few different ones.

Congratulations on your car - it looks lovely.

I was lucky enough to get the only 981 Boxster Spyder that came to NZ. I ordered through CCS in Auckland - there was a short window for ordering and I know there were a few disappointed hopeful owners who missed out. All awesome cars and we are lucky to be able to enjoy them.

Cheers, Steve.

Thanks Steve. I live in Auckland and have seen one White 987 Spyder in person. That's it. I stumbled upon a photo of an imported 981 Spyder on a website but have never seen one in the metal
