Question re 911 Carrera GTS Cabriolet with manual trans...
So I poke around all the time searching for different specs of the various P cars and in my search I've found a car that seems to be a real unicorn. The Carrera 911 GTS cabriolet with a manual transmission. There are only 2 of them on AutoTrader between the years 2000-2016. Why are there so few cars configured this way?

I'd have to assume the combination of the GTS options and the open top would imply a touring experience and most folks who'd spec that would elect to skip the manual. I've always thought the 911 cab doesn't look as "sporty" as the boxster, but that's just my personal take.
Also, it may just be circumstantial that they're just not popping up at the moment. There was a manual 991 GTS cab at a local dealer a couple months ago. Fortunately it was gone before I could have a look.

As far as manual vs automatic transmissions, buyers fall into two groups:
Group #1 - most people now favor automatic transmissions,
Group #2 - most cab buyers fall into group #1.
OBTW, I fall into the odd sub-group that actually likes to shift for himself.
