Default The best 5 min +$5 fix you can do:

I just recently picked up a new to me 997TT.
One of the "issues" the PPI brought up was and I quote:

"scuffs on sill mouldings"

I'm a "sneaker guy" too and use sometimes a thing called a "Magic Eraser" on the mid soles of some of my shoes to keep them clean. I have also used it on painted walls to remove scuffs....
I thought - I wonder if it would work on the sill?

And - 5 mins later, CLEAN sills on the TT:

Then i thought - while I'm at it - lets do the Spyder - and this time a before and after:

After:

Hope this helps you clean up on of your "issues" (PPI = who would've thought - Nitpicking much????)

Simon.

Thanks. Will definitely try this before dropping the $200 to replace the drivers side sill cover.

Seriously?
Whoa, that's a way convenient tip!

I just finished using Car Guys plastic restorer for a medium good job in the same place, but will try again after using these...

Wow, this works well! This is literally from one minute of rubbing. I'm going to remove them now and do it to perfection.

It's all about the details, did you use water or some other fluid ?

I tried both - dry and wet.

I found both did a good job - so used wet (well damp actually) to cover the larger area and then used the dry to detail.

I was also wary of the switches whilst using the wet ones so was very careful/

YMMV
Simon

I can not believe how well the magic eraser works, the marks did bug me a little, nice to know I can get rid of them so easy.

Careful guys, I've heard that those magic eraser things are quite abrasive.

Yup. I’ve been using them for years but you have to be careful. They can smooth out some textured surfaces.

They are amazing though.
