It looks great! Did you do it yourself? Of not, what were the labor costs? I've seen quotes around $1200.

Looks great!

The stock ride height on these cars is awful. Coilovers were my first mod for this reason.

A perfect drop! They should come like that from the factory. I have the H&R race springs on my 987 and 991, and love them.

While I think that looks great, this is the first car I've owned that I didn't want to lower. The stock suspension feels so nice, and I'm already sort of worried about bottoming out over speed bumps at stock ride height. I'm not sure I could make it into my driveway if I were that low!

How do the H&R's ride?

Good luck and be careful over speed bumps. I live in a neighborhood with normal speed bumps and if I don't take some on an angle I will bottom out. I have the X73 factory sport suspension on my 981 Cayman S. I have debated going lower for better stance, but i fear i could actually do some real damage if I'm not super careful.

Agree it looks fantastic, but could not even get it out of my driveway or around the block without damage. I have an un-optioned 07 Base Cayman, which likely has the most ground clearance of any Cayman, and despite my best efforts still occasionally hit my chin. Too low for me

So what H&R springs did you install? Sport? Super sport?

I had Johnson Alignment install it for me and aligned it all at the same time for $750.

It actually ride almost better than stock. The thing that scrapes in my driveway is not the chin bumper, but the rubber piece underneath the bumper.

Funny thing is I've not had any speed bump issues...have not scrape it once.

X73 (unique shocks, springs, ARBs) is the perfect set up for what this car is designed to do--fun transportation. Suspension has to travel to work. Porsche poured extensive R&D into this set up. I've had 3 Porsches with X73 including a 981 Spyder. Now I have a 981 GT4 and honestly I prefer the X73. Never once thought to lower any of them as they are the perfect functional ride height. For cars that could be optioned with X73, it was the lowest ride height option. All of my cars with X73 had no other option (R, '11 and '16 Spyder).
