I have no issues leaving the oil level as is... at top of the lowest bar on the gage. In my case I essentially put in the full owner's manual amount of oil but it was still at the lower end of the range... hence my confusion.

My local dealer once overfilled my RS60 Spyder during an oil change. I checked before I drove off and made them change it again. They weren't happy and even told me the tech burned his hand changing it a second time. Not my problem. Don't overfill it next time. Like many, I opt for the middle mark. When living in Germany techs there preach that, and they baulk at Americans who insist on changing oil to frequently.
