Now if it would stop snowing and sleeting and freezing around these parts, I might be able to drive it some more!

I feel your pain. I live in San Diego and it's been raining like crazy for the last 2 months, which has resulted in all the roads being riddled with HUGE potholes, so even on sunny days I'm still not driving it until the roads are fixed. And now we have another 7 straight days of rain coming

Take care with the SoCal potholes!

Mine needs a bath in the worst way, however, with continual snow/rain storms, I will wait til we have a few good days to wash it. I drive mine daily in all weather conditions.

East coast here... I take my 981 out from time to time when I can, but right now, the timing... right on weekends, and since they get paranoid a day before, the salt is all over the place, sigh... (nevermind the potholes wow)

In winter I only drive mine when the roads are dry, but my niece's car died and I have been driving her to work the last couple weeks. My Cayman is covered in salt! Never expected to see that! Been thinking of running water to the garage to wash her. I'm distressed!

Try Michigan, we had the polar vortex, weeks of freezing ice, of course snow, and all the potholes you could ever want. Come November my Boxster goes into a garage and my Cayman R into a storage facility, and they don't see the outdoors until April, after the first good rain washes the salt off the roads.
I do try to put them away clean, and this year I took the Boxster to a good detail place to buff out 12 years worth of swirl marks. Then I covered it with an indoor cover and look at it every once in a while.
Usually I use the winter to tackle projects like seats and wheels. I am getting the alcantara centers of a set of sports seats replaced with a fabric. The alcantara was pilling and not looking so hot. Looking forward to seeing how it comes out.
Your Boxster did look great, probably for more than 33 seconds!

Black is the best looking color when it’s clean, problem is that it’s not clean for long!
As noted, even SoCal is not exempt from the nasty weather this year. The potholes took out a tire on my wife’s DD a couple of weeks ago, that was painful as it was a run flat tire. The canyons are covered in snow and sand and there are some roads that actually washed out with all the rain.

Anyone in SoCal shouldn't be allowed to complain about the weather, even this year. I'm in Northern VA and been getting my 09 Boxster ready for a DE on Mar 9-10 between the ice and snow storms. Got chunky road salt all over the car bringing back from a 4 wheel alignment at an Indy. Managed to do the serpentine, air filter, cabin filter and pull the right front wheel to check the inner brake pad when it got to 48. Still have the top in the service position to do the "top not in window frame" elastic repair. DE weather forecast for Summit Point, WV is high of 45 with rain and drizzle possible on Sunday. Sunday sessions will be less crowded and I like my Michelin PS4S in the rain. Showing my age but had a Black 65 Mustang and a Black 1985 Saab Turbo that both looked great for the "33 sec" they stayed clean. Sorry about the front license bracket. Paid big bucks for a tow hook plate bracket.
Michigan, I've got heated seats and a heated steering wheel, don't you? Mine goes into the garage in December on a battery tender and 50 psi in the tires. Pushing the Spring weather with an early March DE.

I've never seen anything that beats loblolly pine trees in SC for pollen. Large grain yellow pollen; you can literally scrap a handful of the car with your hand. The good news its grain size is large enough it doesn't bother most people. Cayenne not Boxster pic?

That Cayenne was my gateway drug into Porsche World, so its front and center.
