yeah I've got a 2008. Had it for a little over the year and I finding myself getting paranoid about every little sound that I don't recognize. Mine is a pretty stellar example but I'm wishing I spent more time looking for 987.2

Drove our 07 for 5 years and 30K miles before moving into a 981. Initially had a bit of should have gotten a .2 remorse, but they are harder to find with lower numbers, and our 07 was Cobalt Blue so would have had to find another color.
Car ran great (had a few warranty issues, its a car), never leaked oil, sounded phenomenal with a Carnewal mod and played in the snow with sottozeros.
Have some mechanical empathy in warming it up, drive it like its meant to be driven, annual oil changes and don't lose any sleep

A new motor is about 24k. An 09 was about 13k more than my 07. Like the extended warranty game... If I don't blow anything up, I am ahead of the game. If I do, I will have a better motor than a 987.2 for half of what it would have cost if I wanted it in a 987.2.
Now watch the sucker blow on me next time it is warm enough for the tires not to self destruct.
