There are some specialty chemicals out there (sonax is the one I use), but I've read that soapy water works just as well.
Same here. Used Sonax alcantara cleaner to refresh the matted down steering wheel on my wife's Mini. Hadn't been cleaned in 5 years and looked almost like leather from all the hand oils and dirt. Gave it two rounds with the Sonax cleaner and a soft tooth brush and it's good as new.

Congrats!

Were you able to deal some more or were you happy with the price?

Nice car. Geez, the 981s look so much better than the 718s.

981's will be sought after in the future due to low-ish production #'s, last of the mid N/A engines, and overall styling...

For me I was happy with the price. I pretty much got my dream car so... I'm ecstatic. It definitely has a bit of wear interior wise. The biggest offender being the driver seat. Previous owner kept rubbing the left bolster on exit and entry. but overall it's acceptable to me. The other small things can be addressed.

Yes the day Porsche released photos of the 981 GTS I fell in love. I wanted one so bad. The 981s in general are gorgeous. The GTS is just that much better, in my opinion.

Congrats, Dreamer. I walked into the Elite dealership about three weeks ago to see the S, and the GTS. The S was silver, but looked dark in a dark room, and I wasn't impressed. I spent most of the time looking at your GTS, About a week or 10 days later, they still had both cars. We dickered on the phone, and they said, "Bring your checkbook in", and I drove the silver S home. I figured 10K dollars, and 20K miles, both in my favor, made the S the better car for me. Now we are both happy.

Oh cool I didn't know you got yours from there as well! I definitely see the value in the S and I think that was a great pick up. Just something about the GTS package made me fall in love with it. I'm gonna give this car the TLC it deserves and hopefully keep it for a very long time. Cheers!
