Default "Fault of the engine control system"

There are two versions of this, red & yellow. I got yellow. The book gives the same answer for both: "Have fault corrected at authorized dealer", and it also says you can continue to drive, It is a long wait from Saturday to Monday for a brand new, (to me) car. Does anyone know anything abut this warning? I'm not thinking about 100 miles at WOT, but it would be nice to put my wife in it for the first time.
Thanks,
Richard

I think I got that same message when I had a cracked coil pack. Does it also say, possible to drive on?

You could use a torque app and a BT OBD dongle to read the codes, or maybe even the cheapo ones from autozone might give you the codes, and then you could google them..

otherwise find someone with a code scanner, otherwise you are waiting until Monday...

Ahh yes, the coil pack. I think I remember a book or movie about that. It was titled "Born to Fail".
