Question 981 CS Shift **** Options

Hi all,

My stock shift **** is cracking and I am looking into replacement options. I have 3 options, and am trying to decide which way to go. There is Function First Classic ****, BFI (Black Forest Industries) Air Leather ****, and the Racesend *****. I am leaning towards the BFI **** as it has a leather cover and would be best for extreme temps.

What do you have in your car? Any pictures would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Denis

I've got a metal FF ****, also a Delrin one. Love 'em. Looks old school, fits well in hand.

Mind you, the metal **** matches my goofy car, it may not look good in a tasteful 987.

Does anyone know if Function First is still in business? I do not see an option on their site for a 981, and the options that were there were limited.

I bought mine a few months ago from them. No idea if they are still around, but great service at the time.

I emailed as well and this is the response within a couple hours:

"Oh whoa - no, I’m still around! Shift ***** are currently in production. I had to switch to another machine shop, which caused the delays in inventory. Should be back full swing in April! Luka Lazic, owner FUNCTION-FIRST Performance www.function-first.com"
