Porsche’s are beloved by those who share a common passion for engineering, performance and heritage; however, not everyone knows just how expansive, intricate and costly the "tick-able options" list really is. Every Leather-holic with a 991 or 981 on order usually opts for the obvious "Extended Dash Package" or at least the Leather Steering Column Casing; however, another more obscure leather option in particular is very important from a "first impression" point of view. In fact, one of the larger leather options available in a 991/981.

When swinging the doors open to enter the interior, you're usually greeted with a long exposed strip of raw plastic that covers the length of the door sill openings. These standard inner door sills do not match the materials or plastics used in the rest of the 991/981 interior; utilitarian looking to say the least. The inner sills are made from raw textured and unfinished plastic, looking directly sourced from the same materials that are used in the VW parts bin. Perhaps made this way for durability reasons, in most cases these get scuffed up or scrapped up anyways from unassuming shoes. Replacing these Sills with leather was indeed a factory option...

Our Exclusive Option Leather Inner Door Sills feature rich hand fitted leather with matching or deviated stitching that complement the existing interior specification. The first impression when entering the interior will now be ultimate craftsmanship and quality through and through. Similar in stitch design and spec to the original optional Leather parts, our Leather Inner Door Sills will blend in perfectly to the rest of the interior. Durability on these are quite good as the leather chosen is the proper specification for a balance fit, finish and durability, unless deliberately abused our leather sills should stand test of time. With just a hint of extra care and mindfulness when entering and exiting, you shouldn't worry much about durability when compared to the easily marred standard plastic units

Even noticeable when sitting down and with doors shut, the Leather Inner Door Sill Trims add that extra row of horizontal stitching to each side of the cabin and reinforce the full Leather, tailored bespoke look we all strive for. Continuing the visual flow of stitching design that eventually moves up towards the Leather Dash and around the whole interior.
