Question Boxster S Updating 987.2 Boxster S Front Air Intakes to Spyder style

Hello everyone, long time lurker, but recently purchased a 2009 Boxster S so finally registered!

I'm interested in updating the 2 lower front bumper grills from the dated looking wider light with 2 slats style to the more modern looking slim LED with black plastic housing and more open single slat intake with surround. (see picture).

I was looking on Suncoastparts and the following parts look like they would cover most of what is needed, but I'm curious if anyone has already tackled this project or after further research there were other major hurdles.

I'd rather not spend a fortune doing a bunch of custom work but some minor modification would be reasonable. (Really hoping that with the right parts it would all just bolt right up since they are both 987.2 Boxster bumpers as a starting point.)

Any insight would be awesome!

Interesting idea, are the bumpers identical parts numbers?

I would check the part numbers for the bumpers of both cars to compare.

The silver trim snaps into place but I don’t remember if the bumper has specific areas that help hold it in place.
