Default momentary check engine light...

I started my 2.7 2008 Cayman today (cold) and drove for about 3-4 minutes when the check engine light came on for about 5 seconds and then went out. I noticed no difference in the way the car normally runs which is very good. I continued with a few errands, restarting the engine several times with no more check engine light nor anything but a normal running engine. The temp was about 40 degrees F and a little dampness in the air. Read the manual and it only seems to address flashing check engine lights or steady check engine light. Thoughts??? I plan on taking it to my indy shop tomorrow to read a stored code if any. Car has 113,000 miles on it and is serviced regularly.

Maybe the battery was delivering low for a bit if it was cold and hadn't been started in a while.

Did you verify the bulb for the CEL has not burned out by observing the bulb check at ignition on?

It could be just about anything. Let us know what the stored or pending codes are.

Though if it was a momentary misfire or something, pending codes may have cleared themselves after a few drive cycles.
