Default Gen-1 Classic Spyder Ebay sale...

I don't know if anyone has posted this or not but Nick forwarded this to me. It's identical to mine with VERY low miles on it. Someone snap this up!

Nice car, but $70k is a bit optimistic/nuts.

Would be awesome if it did sell for that much though! Wouldn’t be the first... all depends on options, condition and miles.

I think that the answer is to consign your 986/987 to Ryan Freidman for sale. He seems to think that a 40% premium to market will work. If it doesn't, you haven't lost anything. Go Ryan! Build the market.

It’s a nice example in a great color combo with buckets and manual so I would think low 60’s and I have to think most dealers will negotiate down.

If anyone thinks you can get a nice example no stories Spyder with the right options in the $40’s you’re wrong. The low 40’s Spyders will have issues, likely tracked heavily, in an accident, abused or just the wrong options.

That is a pretty normal price range for a Spyder here in Switzerland.

If I had to pick between two 987 Spyders in all the world it would be a knockdown drag out fight between this one and 63A's.

I have one for sale in the classifieds with an extra set of wheels and both sport seats AND buckets as well as a number of other goodies with similar for about the same money. But mine is not silver with red interior which is not as common.
I think this car is a $63-65K sale most likely.

I will probably list my car on ebay in the spring if it doesnt sell before. But I am probably better off selling without the extra wheel set and bucket seats and maybe some of the other goodies.
I have it listed at $59k without that stuff.
I have had more interest in the extra wheel set and the bucket seats so it may make sense to sell those separately anyway.

But this car looks really nice from the ad.

and they pulled the silver one from the Bay listing? Curious why? as it is still listed available on their own website. IMHO, the white one is not valued correct. Interior isn't in the greatest shape.. bolsters are pretty beat up, no full leather, no AC, base radio. Only thing going for it is lower miles and Extended Alcantara package. Silver one is definitely the better one of the two!

Ha! Nope. As Porsches grow in size and become more tech savvy, I'm gravitating more to 987.2's more and more... which has the less is more ethos.
