981 GT4 Track Clubsport Side air intake
#5
Remember, the hole that the air flows through the duct goes two places: Upper part goes to the air filters, lower part to fans to keep engine bay cool. The seperator strip covers up the line in the interior ducting where the air is seperated. Removing it is not going to increase air flow and may create a bad look.
One of the things I will test eventurally is, with Zunsport grills clipped over the side intake holes, zip tie a piece of thin cardboard at the split going towards the bottom, blocking some of the air going to the engine bay. The blocked air should go up into the upper airway to the filters, increasing the ram air effect of the side scoops and provide a mild HP increase at speed, say greater than 100 MPH. Worth a test.
