And...she bought a Boxster in the end!
So my wife went from an East coast BMW 640 that she wanted to buy sight unseen and shipped to us in Seattle (see recent thread you guys helped out on) ...to this tonight:
Here's the build:
26K miles. As soon as she put eyes on it, the deal was pretty much done. After a 45 minute long drive home, she's even more nuts over it than at the dealership. She particularly likes the Sports Exhaust. So now we're one of those dual 981 families.
Any of you guys know how many of these 981's got built with the Cognac paint? I've never seen one until this afternoon. It's pretty amazing to look at during the sunlight.

Wow! Congrats! Would love to see some shots of the mahogany interior.
If I was in line for a 992, I would spec the interior trim in Paldao. Yeah, I know . . . sacrilege! Never thought I say it, but I really dug it in the cars at the LA Auto Show. Don't hate on it until you've seen it live. Obviously, there's some historical precedent for wood in a 911 that doesn't exist for a Boxster, but I bet in this color combo the mahogany looks great.
Enjoy!

Congrats on a nice spec addition to the family. These are great cars to get the women over to Porsche. My missus liked my 981 so much she kind of stole it, but i have the Spyder as well and its so nice to be a passenger in ‘her’ PDK Boxster now - it always bugged me that she couldnt drive a manual well !

Well good luck topping that one!
Looks awesome, congrats to her on a great choice. Definitely post up some more pics, I’m also curious how the interior looks.

I've never seen that color, but it looks good. Nice ride. Probably very rare.

Here's her first pic of it out in the wild. Not a great pic but....
Yeah...crazy unique color. I'll get some more pics here soon of the interior and some better ones of the exterior. I'll have to put my GT4 in the background or she'll start getting jealous of all the attention the Boxster is getting. LOL.
The 'Mahogany' trim replaces what would normally be considered the Aluminum or Chrome trim pieces. So the cover for the cup holders, the pieces on either side of the steering wheel and the center-console trim. That stuff. The PDK **** also has these little circular trim pieces on either side. All that is wood. And yeah...the interior is Luxor Beige. Identical to my old 981 Base Cayman. I really like the color top + body color. Nice combo.
