If I was in line for a 992, I would spec the interior trim in Paldao. Yeah, I know . . . sacrilege! Never thought I say it, but I really dug it in the cars at the LA Auto Show. Don't hate on it until you've seen it live. Obviously, there's some historical precedent for wood in a 911 that doesn't exist for a Boxster, but I bet in this color combo the mahogany looks great.

Enjoy!
What's Paldao? I did a 992 build online and couldn't find what you're talking about. I gotta know since you're hiding. :-)

Wow that color is stunning! I've never seen that one before. I bet it's amazing in direct sunlight. Congrats on the new car!

Wow! That is a unique color. I wasn't sure if I liked it from the first photo but now, it's very nice looking. Congrats to your wife, she has a great eye.

That's a stunner. I hope it's a perfect car for her and to her.

Looks even better out in natural light. OP you very likely have a 1 of 1 car there just counting the exterior/interior colors and trim pieces. Congrats.

Not picking at all, but if it were mine, next I would start playing musical wheels to see how different wheels set off or contrast with the color. I have 3 different wheel styles I put on my BS, and each wheel style gives it a very different vibe.

It's the interior wood option on the 992. About $1,900 as I recall. Very tasteful. Doesn't look fake or plastic. Matte finish. Looked great with the Truffle leather interior car at the LA Auto Show. Can't get the best sense of it on the configurator because you don't get much of it in the interior -- just thin pieces on door and dash and by the cupholder as I recall.

Maybe it worked for me because it comes in such a small dose and isn't plastered all over the interior. I'm generally not a fan of wood in a modern Porsche, but this could sway me if I was shopping a 992, particularly since the new horizontal dash layout harkens back to early 911's.

That would be really cool if that was the case. My car is a 1 of 1 build...so have a couple in the garage would be neat.

She just left a VM on my cell while I was in a meeting screaming I LOVE THIS CAR at the top of her lungs. Subtle.

very cool ride for sure.

If yours is like mine it didn't come with the backup camera. The car would be insanely annoying without it.

I got one of their cameras and put it in mine. Huge difference with it.

I don't scream it out loud, but I frequently say to myself the same thing about my 981 BS. I wish I could have one in every color made. Then I would start collecting 981 Caymans....

Just beautiful and loaded! Huge improvement over a bmw 640 from the east coast -- doesn't even compare. Rennlist delivers again!

More pics of the interior and exterior with the top down, please.

Sorry about the crappy lighting.

Here are a few pics of the trim. When the car is around during the day time I'll take more.

Thanks for the additional photos. Whomever did the original build of this vehicle knew what they were doing. The mahogany bits really complement the color scheme. Wow! Your wife did real good.
