The option listed make it a nice car, but that reported accident (and 3 owners) will be used against you at the next deal time, whether by a dealer or a buyer.
You should try using it against this seller. 40k would be a good deal for a clean car.

Thanks for your reply. Based on Carfax report is says only two owners. But second owner had owned only 500 miles, 1 month. Dealer inventory at oct, 2018 and auctioned on December,2018. May be something there.

And based on true frame report, it says only minor cosmetic damage. Does it still work against my future selling even though solid true frame report?

Also, consider the 30K mile service that you need to get done as soon as you purchase.

Unless you can get copies of the repair order to see exactly what was damaged and replaced, I'd pass. But that's me. Lots of cars out there and I'd have no interest in one that had been in an accident unless I could see all the documentation for myself.

Thanks for pointing that out. Could you list up what is needed except oil and filter change? Is there any major service associated?

Yes, I was counting you as the 3rd for your next transaction.
It's hard to believe anything that Carfax says relative to wrecks, I know of a 100k car that had a 20k+ wreck which Carfax never captured.

Ask the dealer if you can take the car to an independent shop for a PPI, if they balk walk away immediately.

If you’re inclined to buy this car i personally feel there’s room for negotiation as the car has been in a previous accident and it’s definitely winter in New England - tough time to sell a sports car.

My personal opinion is that if it were truly a clean car and desirable spec it would be for sale at a Porsche dealer and not auctioned to some 3rd party dealer.

Do a google search “ Porsche pre owned car locator “ and do some comparison shopping. Here’s one example I found in your price range and it’s a CPO car.

Good Luck.

It’s a decent deal, not great, particularly with the accident history. You’re going to have to live with that when it comes time to sell.

If it was a dealer CPO deal, then it would be a great deal.

In actuality, this is probably a great car. It's ridiculous, but true, that a minor "accident" report will give you grief when you eventually sell. I'd say the best bet would be to put your own eyes on, drive it and then make a decision.
This car looks very similarly spec'd as my car. As with this one, mine was listed with a minor rear accident (no airbag deployed and drivable) on the carfax. When I inspected the car (and brought it to my indy) I could see zero repairs either cosmetically to the rear bumper or any previous damage beneath. My car is actually basalt black (not gloss black) and a paint difference would be more noticeable than a non metallic color if it had been repaired.
Again, this sounds like a "good" deal. The mileage is about 10k less than mine, but I paid a few thousand dollars less than what this one is listed for.

Hope that helps, good luck!

Seems like a nice car at an average price. Sport Chrono, PASM would bring it up to around $45K. Those 20" wheels are really nice. The red interior.... well, lets just say "to each his/her own". Seems like there's plenty of room for negotiation on price, especially with the mileage. But, good luck. You'll love the 981.
