Default New Steering Wheel and Detailed Interior

Finally got my wheel in and had the time (about 8 hours) to fully detail the interior...Cleaned belts, treated leather etc etc

A pic is worth a thousand words. Pls ignore the sills - they were done when I did the exterior later in the day (gratuitous pic included)

I just need to get my hand brake and PDK shifter done in Alcantara next....

Simon

Looks sweet. I am curious what products you use to detail? Mind sharing?

Thanks!!

I used Meguiars Leather / Vinyl Cleaner for the leather and door trims. Then used Meguairs GOLD Class Leather Conditioner for the leather bits (bolsters and door handles).
A light spray of sneaker cleaner for the Alcantara centre sections followed by a high quality suede brush.
Meguairs 2 step paint cleanse and polish for the back of the seats and the painted bits, followed by some P21s wax.
Soaked the belts and door pulls with a combination of Spray N Wipe and Meguiars Leather Vinyl cleaner followed by a rinse with water.
Then dressed all the vinyl bits with 303 Protectant and buffed off.

Labour intensive but well worth the results I think!

Sweet, thanks. I need to show some love to my Cayman too. I want to get it professionally detailed since I just bought it. But, the weather kinda sucks now, so I want to do some basic interior cleaning myself and get a summer detail in a month or two.

beautiful, what did you use to apply the various cleaners, protectants and polish. I find that the applicators are as important as the applicants, thank you

All applications were using a Megiauers Application Pads. P21s is applied by hand with no pad to get it all warm and easy to apply.
The buffing was all done with fresh microfibre cloths.
I used a soft mohair brush to agitate during the seatbelt treatment and old cotton nappies to dry. I left them overnight to air dry as well.
I also used the "old ice cream stick covered in layer of cloth trick" to get all of the residue off any edges.

Thanks,

BC Forged - I had them made to suit

.

I know it goes against the Spyder ethic in a way - but I am a massive wheel wh0re..... And it will enable me to keep the Stock wheels for a set of track tyres.

OP thanks for the info, I'm a 2011 Boxster Spyder, new to me in October and I am obsessed with the wheels, never before have I had wheels like these!

Upside down, Backwards - even the toilet flush flows the wrong way round here

Thanks for the kind words!
