987.2 3.4L plenum/tb on 987.2 2.9L
I was wondering if any 2.9L owners had any real work experience swapping the plenum and throttle body from the 3.4 DFI 987.2 motors onto their cars? It seems some 987.1 folks have done this with some success but haven't seen anyone with a 2.9L try it. After researching the IPD offerings and seeing some questionable fitment and performance mods, it was suggested the GT3 TB is too much for the 2.9L cars and actually hinders performance. The pieces from the 3.4L motors, which are larger than the base cars bit smaller than the GT3s, might actually work better and be far cheaper. Got me interested to see if anyone has tried this. Thx

fixing to do ipd +82 + tune + vflow + header on a 2.9. will let you know. all the snakeoil! i doubt the TB will hinder anything. i ran a 75mm on a 220whp 2.0L 11.0:1 8000rpm Honda with uprated intake mani and cams to great effect.
