Default 2009 Cayman S crush washer

I hate to start a whole new thread on something so minor, but I can’t find anything specific to my car.
I want to change the oil this weekend, but I won’t be able to get to a Porsche dealer. My auto parts store has no clue what kind of crush washer like 2009 Cayman S would need. Is there a standard size of washer that I could get at the part store?
I have everything else I need. Thank you in advance if someone can tell me what I can do.

ECSTuning shows that the drain plug crush washer is 18x24

OK got to the crush washer, and got the oil changed. I’m doing it in my garage jacking it up and throwing jackstands under the car. All went pretty well. One question, is there anyway to get the oil filter out without spilling oil all over the place? That sure made a mess. The cool thing is I got lots of paper towels, and Dawn dish soap. But if anybody can advise me for the next time I would appreciate it.

Just install the sump plug with the new crush washer...torque it down. Move the drain pan over .......crack the filter and unscrew it slowly until it stops dripping....then carefully unscrew keeping it upright over the pan. Then pull the filter out out and dump the cannister into the pan.

Common sense mostly

This is from Pelican Parts website "

Not that it is definitive, but my research suggests the crush washer for a 2009 Cayman S (my car) is:
PN: 900 123 106 30
OD: 22mm, ID: 14mm, Thickness: 2mm

Any of the above though would work, provided they fit over the drain plug and crush nicely...

Use a gallon size zip lock bag. Place bag over filer and unscrew letting the oil drain into the bag. Still keep lots of paper/shop towels nearby.

This is a good idea, thanks.

Yes, the bag trick works great. That's what I do as well.

I always make a huge mess. Definitely disagree that it's common sense how to keep the filter change clean, at least on 981. There are cross members and other obstacles in the way of the filter, so you can't just drop it completely vertical.

It's also fine to re-use the crush washer in a pinch. I've done it before, just flipping the washer and torquing it down. Obviously best practice is a new one, but if you need to take a sample or something it may not make sense to order a new washer just for that.

Ah....yes it is a 981....not a 987.

Confession time; I've been known to re-use three or four times on my 356 - flipping it each time as you note...

Yep, same! I bought like 10 crush washers last oil change, though, so now I'm covered for a long time with new ones. The reality is that even if it did leak it would be a very slow leak with no real consequence other than possible oil stains to the floor. Over the course of several oil changes with flipped washers the only time mine ever leaked was when I installed a LNE magnetic plug (not knocking LNE, it's a good product that just needs to be torqued higher than the sticker said on it). The magnetic plug said 19 ftlb which would not keep it from leaking but 25-30 works fine.

I’m laughing as I’m writing this, because I lied above. And I’m a little bit embarrassed. But I too reused the crush washers this time. But I know where to order them now, and I’m going to splurge and get like 10 of them. Because I got big bucks like that.
