Default 987.1 A/C adjusters smeared

This must have been discussed before here but search wasn’t helpful. Any solutions for clearing up or upgrading/replacing the smeared A/C adjusters in a 987.1? Thx! Pic:

Very common problem, search over on the 997 board..

Here's a long thread if you have lots of time to kill..

https://rennlist.com/forums/997-foru...ons-a-fix.html

There are some very vocal people that are not a fan of the climarepair solution and it seems the MA Carbon ones are the best option these days.

YMMV. I was surprised that I got my 997.1 AC unit replaced as part of CPO a few years ago..

Hello, this might help

Our latest product (climarepair Revolution) it’s OEM equipment so quality and finish is perfect.

Best regards

Climarepair had some bad versions before they got it right. I have the v3 ones (before the Revolution ones) which look OEM and have held up well with no damage.

I thought about buying from Climarepair.com but $150 (20% off with their rennlist coupon) but that is still to much for these buttons with the amount of bad reviews they have. I bought some textured spray paint and refurbished mine, but I accidentally broke one of mine and now need a replacement

The bad reviews were for the 1st and 2nd revisions. The 3rd revision they got right. I'm down in Texas with several 100+ degree temps during the year. It'll be coming up on about a year since I installed mine and they look just like the day I got them. Very close match.

Here's pics of my old v3 pieces:

The new "Revolution" revision that they're selling now is even better. They seem to be identical in shape to the OEM pieces, whereas my v3 look good but are not 'rounded' on the edges. I wouldn't hesitate to pull the trigger on the new ones.

If you kept the old ones, want to work something out for them?

When you say old do you mean the nasty OEM ones, or the v3 ones?

I still have the v3 ones on the car, but would consider upgrading to the newer Revolution ones if someone was interested in buying my v3. Otherwise I'm content with the v3.

The OEM ones, I am fine with not have the Fan or Temp light up on them, so I will just repaint them.

Ha I actually thought about listing them for sale here on RL, but ended up throwing in the trash. Should be pretty easy to find a set... good luck!

Hello there!

just wanted to share a few pictures some customers are sending us.

This is from a client in Australia, he bought our Climarepair Revolution switches for his 2006 Porsche Carrera S and he is sending a before/after comparison:

And this is from a customer in Germany, he sent us this picture of his 2006 GT3 ClubSport. His switches were sent three days ago so he is probably installing them tonight or tomorrow, will post pictures as soon as he sends it to us

Best regards!
