Default New P Buyer!?

Hey guys, I'm looking for a second car, and really a primary driver. I've been floating back and forth between tons of different sports cars, but see the opportunity to get a Cayman/Boxster. I've found a few, but I'm not entirely sure what to be hesitant on or what price to get to. Everyone says they're reliable in the long run (but I am prepared for the worst).

I've owned several BMWs, Type R and a Mustang GT (with the performance pack).

Here is one I've found..

I've been looking for Boxsters in the 10 to $20k range. From the ones I've seen this one looks reasonably priced. Note a bargain, but not out of line. The 2007 model year has the beefier IMS bearing and from my research has a very low failure rate... good compared to 2000 - ~2005 model year ones. Although the IMS bearing is not easily replaceable should one want to upgrade it.

Not too familiar with base Boxster pricing, but just a heads up... looking at the VIN, that car had very little options. The wheels, tail lights, black emblems, shift ****, alcantara steering wheel, etc. were done by previous owner(s). That may or may not matter to you, but FYI.

I just looked as you said, sticker was like 44k? Not crazy about that.

I prefer the Cayman anyways. I'm just worried about the really high mileage. I have a list of cars and it's always been a dream of mine to own a Porsche. Anything to look out for?

I'm currently trying to obtain this one. I absolutely love the color and it looks really well maintained.

Price feels high, am I right with that?

^ That one looks pretty good, I owned a 987 Cayman and really liked it.. Not sure about current 987 pricing, tho..

This one has the cruddy climate control buttons that affected a lot of cars, fairly easy to replace with a a set from MA carbon, a DIY if you are even slightly handy..

Otherwise it looks pretty good..
