I have a Bentley manual for my 986 that's really good, but they don't seem to make one for the 987. What are you guys using for the 987?

I haven't found that many good resources for 987.2. I have an AllDataDIY subscription that covers some components in the car and not others. I also found Porsche Mobile Technical library online to download someplace. Other than that.. youtube videos.

I have this. When I bought it, I got both a download, and a CD. Someone told me that the current offering just includes the download?

But it is the complete factory workshop manual.

That’s for the 987.2, is that what you have?

No, but I went into their main menu choices and got the 987.1 that they offer. Thanks for pointing that out though, I appreciate it. You could have saved me a problem had I just clicked.

where are they based out of? They charge for international shipping? Also they mention nothing of a download... just CD.

I had to pay for it as well, from a guy in another forum.

Somebody told me that you can now download "Porsche 987 Boxster Cayman 2009 2010 2011 Workshop Service Repair Manual" for free here:

In November 2016, I purchased on ebay a shop manual for my 2010 BS. It has 6309 pages and is 655.6 MB in size. While it does have a lot of useful info in it, it has a large number of missing illustrations and pages. It was so bad I requested a refund from the seller and got it; and he told me to keep the "partial manual" for my trouble. I believe the manuals mentioned by "billwot" and "Ale_72" are the same one I have. The quickest check is to look at page 1392 and click on Figure 183. If it says "Not available" then you have a "partial manual" like mine. If you look around, you'll find many more missing figures, etc. I checked the manual at the site "Ale_72" listed and confirmed it's the same. I didn't buy and check the one "billwot" listed, but in the ad it mentions 6309 pages, so I'm guessing it's the same.

As an aside, if you still want the manual, I'd recommend you download the free one "Ale_72" lists, rather than paying for the one "billwot" lists. I'm pretty sure they are identical.

Joe succeeded to download it but if you have a better upload service with no registration let me know. Please test it upfront with a 650mb pdf.
