Default Update

Alright guys here is an update on the oil leak.

Turns out the leak was because "the timing chain tensioner was not fully torqued causing oil to seep out".

I picked the car up and went straight to the place that is putting on the ceramic coat and clear bra. On the way there I managed to pick up numerous rock chips on the hood and to the Porsche crest. I also got a text with a picture saying that there is moisture in one of the taillights. Is a replacement taillight something that Porsche will replace due to the CPO status of the car?

I've had the car over a week, I've driven it one day and it's one problem after another.

Thanks again for the input.

finally, don’t be discouraged by these minor issues - the end game is that you will have an amazing car in short order.

1st - glad the oil leak situation is resolved.

2nd - bummer about the rock chips. Have your Detailer’s touch them up prior to PPF.

3rd - I believe a little condensation is normal. I always get a bit after washing my car but it quickly goes away.

Finally, don’t get discouraged by a few minor issues - the end game is you’ll wind up with an amazing car in short order.

The taillights are an open design (meaning not sealed). Moisture will come and go depending on the weather, washing the car, etc.
