"On average Boxster Spyders are listed at a 10-15% premium over MSRP."

:roflmao:

"My current offer price is 92% of MSRP and is firm."

I'd pay him $100K for it if it had a rear view camera and PCCB's.

I swear I've seen those pics before on rennlist.

And here's the exact build for me. GT Silver, classic interior, PCCB's, reversing camera, heated seats, Burmester and 18 ways. Damn. My GT4 wheels on that beauty and it'd be perfect.

But as is, with that mileage, it's a $95k car at best. On a perfect day. With the wind behind it.

And honestly, on a Spyder with its the lack of sound deadening, the Burmester option is a bit of a waste IMHO. His build is a bit inflated and the market just isn't that strong for Spyders at the moment. And it's December.

Honestly, I hope he gets his price, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

I think it's around $600 or so to retro fit the rear camera, FWIW. Obviously way more for PCCB retrofit =) But honestly, I love my red brakes on the spyder! And I had PCCB's before. For how often I drive and combined with the ceramic coating, I don't find the brake dust to be an issue, and the brake bite and pedal feel is great. Not PCCB great, but great.

And I laughed too when I saw the average price above sticker comment. He doesn't know what he's talking about. I don't think his price is too insane though if it wasn't for the firm comment (since generally people negotiate). I think about $1 off sticker per mileage and then sub out another $3k for lack of CPO. Although a couple recent sales turned out to sell for more than that, so not sure. So maybe $98k? Either way he's not asking astronomically higher.

The prices have been moving slightly downward the last year, and private sale is the way to go but difficult to screen all the tire kickers/financing. New Spyder will be out in 2019 will add pressure. My Spyder I traded to my dealer say for months on the lot .......

I see that this car is no longer for sale at this dealer. Anyone here pick up this awesome build?

Oops, I guess the link is broken since the car is no longer at that dealer. It was a GT Silver with classic interior, low miles, PCCB's and Burmester being the priciest options. I think the MSRP was around $110K and they were asking $100K.

Spyerx 01-11-2019 02:16 PM

real data point, I'm getting dealer offers for mine ~10% back of MSRP.
This week.
Which seems decent for a 3yr old car

Are you looking? That's my exact car.

Wow, that's pretty great.

edit: just realized I'm not sure what mileage is on your car. So maybe you have very low miles? I'm not interested in selling mine but was just casually talking... but heard 75% of MSRP on trade. Absolutely would stop me from trading it as I don't think the new one will be worth it at that point even if I got to spec it, but who knows.

Spyerx 01-11-2019 05:46 PM

Well. I’m just stating offers somwho
knows what real deal would be. So don’t take as gospel.
Just over 3 k miles

guab 01-11-2019 05:49 PM

That's probably why... mileage comes at a cost on these cars. I have just over 10k (granted it's CPO) so I would have expected my trade to be somewhat lower. I was really only thinking about it in case I wanted the 718, but we'll see. This is by far the best car I've ever owned. Probably next would have been my E92 M3.

FactoryMatt 01-13-2019 05:32 PM

someone hasn't heard about the 718 Spyder on the way.
