Default Shift linkage cable swap - scared myself

Greetings,

I was swapping out old broken linkage cables for a working set I got on Ebay. As Im feeding them from inside the car into the engine bay they got stuck a little bit. I blindly reach over top and ... my hand comes back with the transmission side of the cable ... broken off. Oh man, this cant be!

Well, I popped up and checked and my cables are still in one piece. Turns out, must have had cable issues before and previous owner or repair shop left the broken end somewhere in the engine bay for me to discover. I almost crapped myself at first.

Anyway, new cables installed. Just need to pirce tje interior bits back together and we'll be on the road again.

Peace out.

It's not DIY unless you've scared yourself at least once per project.
