My new-to-me 987.2 Spyder
Huge thank you to Nathan (Nate222) for letting me be the next caretaker of your Spyder, and Hiro (HiroY) and Amar (w00tPORSCHE) for spending so much time with me talking about your cars, why you love them, and ultimately in Hiro's case, why he's keeping his! The community was such an amazing experience and something I found myself very thankful to enjoy.
This one ticks all of my boxes: carbon buckets, manual, unique color, Sport Chrono, PSE. Truly, if given the chance to spec a build in 2012, this would have been spot on.
Roughly 70 miles on it today sharing the experience with another enthusiast and we were smiling ear-to-ear the entire time. We've both spent some time in 991 Turbos, Caymans, early NSXs, etc etc and the experience in the Spyder was second to none. We both struggled to answer: "What could possibly be better than this? What could offer more engagement, more feedback, better sound, and combine it in such a rare package?"
He gave this car the ultimate compliment saying "I felt at home from the moment I let out the clutch."

Congratulations on such a sweet car. I think this car would make me forget my s2000 (maybe minus the shift feel). I wish I was lucky enough to have one of these in my garage and lived somewhere with unlimited winding roads. Enjoy!!

Thank you! An S2000 was once on my list as I drove one back in high school and have loved them since. My issue with them stems from driving muscle cars in my formative years and the S2000's lack of torque. I love the lines and at their current prices are an absolute steal! I won't fault anyone for owning and driving their S2000 at all. And you're right, the shifter in those is glorious.

Welcome to the small but devoted 987.2 Spyder community. The 981 Spyder is a great car too and has just as many fans, but I prefer my 987.2 for it's styling and it's hydraulic steering feel.
BTW, what color is your Spyder?

My Spyder is Aqua Blue Metallic. It seems to be one of the more rare colors. I saw a lot of black, white, and some red cars. I originally really wanted silver, I love it on this car.
