Question about wheel fitment
I have a '15 981 GTS that came with the 20" IXRT Sport Techno wheels. They are 20x8.5 ET57 Front and 20X10.0 ET51 Rear. I am looking for another set of wheels to mount winter tires. Someone is selling a set of 20's off a 991. They are 20X8.5 ET51 Front and 20X11.0 ET51 rear.
Can these be made to work? If so, how?
Thanks

Fronts are going to poke out some, but 6mm is probably OK. You can probably use the rears with a 10-15mm spacer, but I think it would look a little wide. I had 11 inch wheels on the back of my 981 Cayman GTS with a 10mm spacer and it was OK but in the end I didn't like it.
Personally I'd go with an OEM fit for the 981 and not try to adapt the 991 wheels.

If you are planning to actually drive in any snow/slush, you want less rim and more rubber. I think 18 inch is ideal and at most 235/265 wide front/rear with good quality winter tires.

I don't actually plan to drive in snow. I was going to mount all seasons so I can drive on dry winter days where the temp is under 40 F
(Current oem tires are summer only)

A higher offset means the wheel with 'tuck' more aka the opposite effect of spacers, all else being the same.
