Hi guys,

The 987.2 USB connection inside my center console will still output power after the car has been shutoff, for at least another 15 minutes. I am not sure for how long. Do you guys have the same "issue"?

Your thread title says "power", but you post says "USB". My 2011 Cayman base does not have a USB port in the console, but the console power socket is always energized.

I believe the cig lighters are always powered-on, making the need to remove any chargers every time you turn the car off to avoid slow drain.

Yes, after observing it for a few more days I noticed the USB always being on. Do all of you disconnect your electronics every time?

I have a 2 USB outlet power plug full time in my always-on socket in the console. And one USB port is full time connected to my bluetooth/aux receiver. There is a small LED under each of the USB ports, and a small LED on the bluetooth device. So there are 2 small LEDs connected full time to my always-on power socket.

Occasionally, my car will sit as much as 10 days in the garage. I have never noticed any decline in battery power. That may not be good advice, but it has been my experience.
