The exhaust sound and what is tolerable is such a subjective call. One person might think it sounds awesome and another night think it sounds terrible. My best advice is to listen to sound clips on YouTube and see what you think, and yes, it is a reversible modification so if you install it and hate it, you can always go back to stock.

Personally, I run the factory PSE on my car, but the valves are always open. I think it sounds fantastic.

As stated, only you can judge what is too loud, what's appropriate for a daily, and what has too much drone. Even the best engineered systems will have more drone than stock, but that's a sacrifice for better sound and performance. It ultimately depends how sensitive you are to it.

Cabin drone will be louder with the top up because it removes the roof layers of insulation that were sitting over the engine and it allows sound waves to bounce around more in the cabin. But it will still sound quieter (in cabin) than the eco chamber you can get with a Cayman.

The only damage will come from a poor or improper installation.

As long as you're buying a bolt on system, then you can easily switch back to stock. But if you're going the custom route that involves cutting and welding, then it won't be as easily reversible.

I had one on my e46 M3. I got a little drone from it, not terrible, liked the sound. Different car for sure, but can't think of any reason not to try one!

hows the noise when u have the top down?

will it damage my car in any way?

if i have to put the old exhaust back, is it possible?

anyone who has it, how do u like it?
We advertise it as a "no drone" system so if you decide to buy it and experience drone, please let me know and we'll resolve this issue to your satisfaction one way or another. You can reach me at davidb@borla.com

It won't damage your car in any way and just about any muffler shop can reinstall the original exhaust.

Any more questions please send me an email.
