Default For Those That Attended Rennsport

Did anyone have a chance to listen to Tony Hateras discuss the design concepts for the Boxster Spyder? The discussion was Sunday afternoon and I unfortunately had to miss it.

What an incredible event and venue, personally I was blown away by every aspect from the cars to the entire production. Well done Porsche!

I did attend the talk on Saturday afternoon with Tony and Grant Larsen about design, but nothing in particular was mentioned about the Spyder. Didn't know there was also a talk on Sunday with Tony. My takeaway from Saturday's discussion was that Tony is much more involved in the design of the motorsport cars and Grant's focus/impact has been primarily with the production cars. Grant is obviously the Boxster designer and did both the 987 and 981 Spyders so it would surprise me if they had Tony on Sunday talking about Spyder design and not Grant

+100

I've been to a ton of car events, but for a single marque event I thought this was unparalleled. If anything, perhaps it was too comprehensive and overwhelming -- if you can have such a thing. My love for the old Spyders was definitely satiated, but when I saw 16+ 959's in the paddock corral, I literally had to pause and just let it sink in. So many once-in-a-lifetime sightings for me. Truly memorable.

Rennsport is the best Porsche event I've ever attended, and that includes some 32 years worth of Parades, Treffens, Euro deliveries, tours, racing, socials, etc. Absolutely the best!

Yes, even better than the Monterey Historics with Porsche as the featured marque.

I'd be curious to hear from those who attended prior Reunions how this event compared. Being an anniversary year, I suspect Porsche pulled out more of the stops than perhaps at prior Reunions. I read 60,000 attended V and this weekend there were over 80,000 at VI. Pretty amazing.

Outstanding event. Found out why Grant had to leave the Spokane parade so he could work on the 935. Missed him with the schedule change back then. But made up with it as he signed my helmet and drew a Spyder outline under his name. Way cool.

I was only able to attend for the weekend days, but it was incredible - Porsche overload for sure. Highlights included seeing some of the historic racecars in the paddock (including 550s, 718s, 904s, 935s, among others), catching up with friends, and hiking up the hill to watch the 917’s go through the corkscrew.

Rennsport VI was mind blowing! I'm still going through the hundreds of pictures, freaking amazing event. Porsche did a fantastic job.
