Default Tiptronic valve body repair/replacement 2007 Cayman 987.1

I have been having an issue with shifting in my 2007 Cayman with automatic transmission. I get a little bit of a rev in rpm's... normally while traveling at slower speeds. After servicing the transmission/ filter and resetting the computer on the transmission the problem was not solved. Talking to my mechanic, he is saying the next step is to rebuild the valve body as he believes that improper transmission fluid pressure MAY BE causing the problem. It kind of makes sense because it seems the more aggressive you can drive the less the problem is and the mechanic claims as you drive more aggressively you have more pressure in the system. It is a pretty hefty bill for an iffy fix so I was wondering if anyone had any advice regarding this problem thank you.
