Default Fabspeed Motorsport | 981 Boxster/Cayman Tracktec Valved Exhaust System

Hey guys! Scott here from Fabspeed Motorsport wanted to profile our 981 Boxster/Cayman TrackTec Valved Bypass Exhaust System. I've had quite a few inquires lately for this system, so here she is!

Our esteemed sporty Maxflo Exhaust tone with a raw, race car roar and extra power at the press of a button thanks to muffler bypass valves. One exhaust, two unique tones.

Fabspeed engineers are always tinkering, and we wanted to try something a little different. We incorporated muffler bypass valves into the inlet pipes of our Maxflo Exhaust system to unleash an additional raw, race car like tone at the press of a button. The prototype system received an abundance of attention, a positive response, and power was picked up; we're proud to offer the unique TrackTec Valved Bypass Exhaust for those looking for something special.

With valves closed, the familiar sporty, refined tone of the Maxflo mufflers offers a pleasing level of sound with no droning. With one press of the factory Sport button or Fabspeed valve remote, exhaust is free to travel unrestricted through 48mm dump tubes bypassing the mufflers. A frenzy of burbling and crackling erupts with every application of the throttle. A thunderous roar permeates the cabin at just the right volume level. Turn up the volume and turn heads to the tune of an increase of around 15whp and 19ft-lbs of torque at 4000RPM.

Fits all Porsche 981 Boxster/Cayman vehicles (2013-2016)
Includes Deluxe Dual-Style Tips in your choice of finish
Improves horsepower and torque by around 15 whp and 19 ft-lbs at 4000 RPM
Saves 6 lbs from the rear of the vehicle compared to the full OEM exhaust system
Does not trigger Check Engine Light
Constructed from high quality 14-16ga CNC mandrel-bent T304 stainless steel for maximum performance and durability
Noticeable improvement in sports car sound and throttle response
Direct replacement for the OEM muffler with no cutting or welding required
All Fabspeed performance products are backed by the Fabspeed Lifetime Limited Warranty

Do you make a similar exhaust for the 997?

That sounds great! Best exhaust sound out there, what’s the pricing? Also is this with stock headers?

Correct! The exit behind the rear wheels, makes a great exhaust note, with function to open and close the valves. This set up will work with factory headers as well! Feel free to give me a call directly to chat about pricing if interested!

FWIW, I've had my FS valved exhaust on my 987.1 CS for 2 months, UNFREAKIN' BELIEVABLE! The valved option is the only way to go, it's mild mannered when closed & sounds awesome when open, especially at WOT. I will state that there is a very, very slight drone at lower rpm's, but it hasn't been an issue at all. I'm a very happy, (and unsolicited), customer...

This sounds like all I could ever want for in an exhaust... Few questions if that's okay!

1. Can I retro fit the coding/button for the PSE and then buy the PSE version of this easy enough? I want that "OEM" feel to it.
2. I'm based in the UK, is Design911 the best place to purchase this from? Link: https://www.design911.co.uk/fu/prod1...--981C-Cayman/

Thanks!

Hey Danzibar,
Those are some great questions.
You can retrofit the button into the PSE if you want to go that route. You can also do the same process to hook it into the homelink button as you would a garage door opener.
I will shoot you a private message to talk about where to purchase from and if you have any other questions.
