Battery disconnect?
I'm ready to attack the car audio upgrade but I have heard horror stories of disconnecting the battery for a few hours then needing to return to the dealer to get everything back in operation, is this factual?

I disconnected my battery for about one hour. Only thing to reset was my date/time, and it took a couple of times to reset the windows.

I have a 987.1. I’ve removed my battery over the winter multiple times. Never had an issue. You will need to drive a bit after reconnecting to reset PSM. Don’t go for an emissions test right away.
