New Cayman R Owner - PTS "GTS Red"
I've been following the 987 R market for a few years now but the right car and timing didn't align until just recently. Picked it up a month ago as a replacement for an AP2 S2000 that I sold, here's my 2012 Porsche Cayman R in PTS "GTS Red" paint (I think of it as a non-metallic pre-cursor to Carmine). I got really lucky on the spec, only thing I would've changed is no rear wiper and the addition of an alcantara headliner (OK, PCCBs would be nice too but not practical). I'm the second owner, car started its life in Virginia but appears to have been well taken care of. After going on two full day drives with it, safe to say I'm in love. Makes similar power to my E46 M3 but the significant weight difference is readily noticeable. The seats are probably my favorite thing about the car, best factory seats I've had the pleasure of sitting in so far (prefer them to the 991 buckets).
Sorry in advance to those who have already seen the pics in the PTS threads or Cayman R registry, but thought I'd share them here as well:
Next to what I believe is a Rosso Corsa 360, GTS red is quite dark by comparison
And the options, for those curious
I've ordered parts from Suncoast to DIY an oil change, cabin and engine air filters and brake fluid bleed. Looking forward to learning more about the 987 platform.

Congrats, I've never seen or heard of this spec.
Where did you find it? I thought I had a keen eye on the Cayman R cars trading hands but had 0 idea about this.

An absolute beauty. Congrats. I'm kind of tired of Guards Red, to be honest, and your color and the Carmine are an intoxicating variation. Love the exposed aluminum ring around the perimeter of the wheels. Gives those cars a classic touch. Nice pics, too.

Thanks guys
Agreed, really liking the spec. Based on another thread I found on Rennlist, I believe the dealer Euroclassics Porsche in VA ordered the car as inventory this way - someone knew what they were doing over there.
Found it on Craigslist in Atlanta, though the car was actually located at a Corvette dealer just over the border in Alabama. The ad was only up for a day or so before I found it and made the deal quickly, so I'd be surprised if many people even knew if was listed. Thankfully my brother lives in Atlanta and was able to inspect the car and arrange delivery, enjoying it in the northeast now.

Dude, beautiful car, and as stated, perfectly optioned. I love it! I'm a new owner of a 987 Spyder similarly optioned, in Basalt Black Metallic with Carrera Red interior. It replaced a sweet 993, but I am thrilled with these light, engaging, fast cars!

Wow! THAT is a stunning CR. Killer. Very very good catch.
Congrats and welcome!
Question - I don't see on the Option list the LWBS. Anybody know where those show up?
