I bought a pair of LED side markers from SunCoast (SKU991LEDSIDES). I notice that unlike the original amber ones they stick out a little more toward the front by like 2 milliliters as you can see in the pictures. How did yours turn out? Did I not get an original Porsche product?

I can't comment on whether they are OEM but that fitment doesn't look right to me. Maybe they're not seated completely?

I got mine from suncoast and they are like that as well. The Led light fits across to the 911 I believe and may be the reason for the difference.

@ekam yeah, I know, but don't we all love how tightly Porsches are put together?

@xbeamelite - I called Porsche parts and they don't have LED markers in the catalog for 981, so I guess they are really only meant for 991 and 718. They just fit well enough on 981 that people put them on.

Knowing what I know, I'll still keep them on.

Mine fit the exact same way on my 981, and i purchased from Suncoast.

This makes sense, as they are definitely more flush on my 991.

I am super OCD, but a 5 minute drive in the Cayman makes me forget all about it

I put mine on as well from Suncoast. Did not seem as flush as I would have imagined but could not get them off …..so I sold the car

Suncoast is a Porsche dealer. So I'm going to go out on a limb and say you got Porsche OEM. Mine for my 997 came in a box with a Porsche parts sticker and part number on it.

Mine fit fine, not like that. Perhaps they are installed wrong.

Same fitment on my '14 BS.........have a friend that manages a Certified Collision Center, and he confirmed my installation was fine and he had seen this type of fitment on other 981 series cars.

Or course, I'd prefer they didn't protrude like they do; but I'm living with it for now.......
