Default I wrote about my experience using my GT4 as a daily

I've had several people act surprised when I told them I daily drive my GT4 so I wrote about my experience here: https://dailydriven.co/gt4-daily-driver/

I wonder if anyone else here is daily driving a GT4? I imagine the GT3 gets a little more DD action thanks to the PDK option.

EDIT: Wow, I just realized this is my first post on Rennlist despite reading and lurking as a member for years :O

Welcome. It's a fun place to hang out BUT you can also be VERY unproductive with the rest of your life IF you let it. Good to have you and I'll go and read your GT4 Blog now.

Great first post and very nice car! I'm curious if you feel the same way after a year or two of driving the car (and hopeful that you are). At the Porsche Club breakfast I attend, a few guys have said the GT4 is NOT a car they'd want to drive daily and one guy sold his after a year. I always wondered if they were being soft or if it really was that awful. I haven't driven or even taken a ride in a GT4 myself. I've driven a lot of sports cars with stiff suspensions and don't expect it to be any worse. It's nice to see a guy who is really using his GT4 on a daily basis.

Thanks for sharing. You should post this on the GT4 sub-forum as well.

Sweet! Enjoy the drive. Makes it worth driving to work, I bet.

I daily drove an M2 last year. I can say 100% that the GT4 suspension is way better in all ways. The M2 suspension is needlessly harsh. The GT4 corners flat and soaks up the bumps. It's sporty sure but way better damped.

I've been DDing my GT4 since I picked it up at the dealer in Sept 2015. Winter wheel set for the cold weather, track set for the track, and the oem wheels with Mich SS for the rest of the time. It's been a thoroughly enjoyable car that puts a smile on my face every time I drive it. The only downside is the limited front clearance for driveways which I've learned to handle. I speced it with the 18 way seats which have been great (including several 7-8 hour drives to distant tracks) and IMHO are essential for a DD GT4. The buckets look sweet, but are impractical/impossible for DD use, especially if you're over (or well over) 40.
